The Chicago Bears opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback Kyler Gordon on Wednesday.
Gordon was sidelined throughout training camp and missed the Bears’ first three games with a calf injury. He is not eligible to be activated from the physically unable to perform list until Monday, one day after Chicago (2-1) hosts the New York Jets (1-2).
Injuries are nothing new for Gordon, who was limited to three regular-season games last season because of hamstring, groin and calf ailments. He signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension before the start of the 2025 season.
Gordon, 26, has recorded 214 tackles, five interceptions and 17 pass breakups in 45 career appearances (35 starts) since being selected by Chicago in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Washington.
