With the NFL draft in the rearview mirror, the Green Bay Packers signed free agent linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons to a one-year contract on Monday, according to multiple reports.Simmons reportedly visited the Packers two weeks ago. On Sunday, Simmons posted a mouse trap with a piece of cheese on social media.A first-round pick (No. 8 overall) of the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, Simmons spent the previous two seasons with the New York Giants.Simmons, who has never missed a game in his five NFL seasons, started just once in 2024 and played in only 17 percent of the Giants’ defensive snaps, recording 21 tackles with one forced fumble.In 2023, New York moved Simmons from linebacker, where he played in Arizona, to safety. He started four games and appeared in one-third of the defensive snaps.
